OUR STORY

Nestled in the beautiful prairie grasslands near Lake Alma, SK, our family ranch is proud to be part of this expansive, treeless landscape. It’s an ideal setting to raise both our family and our herds, offering the perfect mix of open space and community spirit.

We’re Jason and Stephanie Fradette, and together with our three daughters—Heidi, Amy, and Andie—we run a diverse cattle operation. Our ranch includes a commercial herd, as well as purebred Speckle Park and Simmental herds. We have cow-calf, backgrouding, grassing, and finishing enterprises.

Ranching presents its unique challenges and rewards, which we embrace wholeheartedly. Developing cattle that thrive in our environment has been a long-term passion. We aim for moderate, structurally sound, and quiet cows that can adapt to the land. Our ideal cow averages 1,350 pounds—big enough for versatility in breeding, able to raise calves that align with feedlot requirements, and with the resilience to winter well. Beyond practicality, we also strive to maintain a herd that’s visually striking, easy to work with, and profitable.
